Description
This adapter allows your BlueSCSI Desktop v2 to draw power from a Molex connector inside your computer.
Note that in most cases, you do NOT need this! Many computers, including most Macs, provide TERM power over the SCSI bus, allowing your BlueSCSI to work with just the SCSI cable connected.
However, this adapter might be useful if your computer is not supplying enough TERM power, or none at all. It’s the case with the following machines:
- Atari Mega ST, Mega STE and TT
- Macintosh IIsi (specifically)
- Most Amiga SCSI cards (like the A2091)
- And more
Tip: The log.ini file created at the root of the SD card on the BlueSCSI will inform you if the voltage received is insufficient. If it is, and if your BlueSCSI is drawing power from its SCSI connector, this adapter may be for you.
