Description
Compatibility
The BlueSCSI Front Panel Module is compatible with the following models:
- BlueSCSI v2 Desktop version 2023_10a or later
- BlueSCSI v2 PowerBook version 2023_10a or later
- BlueSCSI Ultra – Narrow 50 Pin with the BlueSCSI Ultra – Narrow 50 Pin Expander Card installed
- BlueSCSI Ultra – Wide 68 Pin
When ordering, specify whether you have a BlueSCSI v2 (Desktop or PowerBook) or an Ultra (Narrow 50 Pin with Expander Card or Wide 68 Pin). We’ll install the appropriate firmware on the Front Panel and make sure you have the right connector for your BlueSCSI (QWIIC for v2 and Flex for Ultra).
Note: BlueSCSIs v2 with a Pico 1 can only support only one of the following features at a time: Front Panel Module, DaynaPORT WiFi or S/PDIF Audio. BlueSCSIs with a Pico 2 or Ultra BlueSCSI do not have these limitations.
Tray
The 3.5″ tray is available in three different colours (blue, black and Platinum).
Background and Additional Information
The BlueSCSI Front Panel Module is the result of a partnership with Ian Scott (Polpo) and it shares its design and general tray layout with his PicoIDE. Most of the information regarding the PicoIDE Front Panel is also applicable to the BlueSCSI Front Panel.

Beta Firmware
The BlueSCSI Front Panel Module currently requires a beta version of the BlueSCSI firmware (we’re expecting a full release in the coming days). You will need to update your BlueSCSI to this beta version or to any official release that will follow. The beta firmware can be found here: https://github.com/BlueSCSI/BlueSCSI-v2/releases/tag/panel
